Hope's Not Dead... Really

"...Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done on earth
as it is in Heaven..."
- Matthew 6 : 10

If we talk about hope, we always think that things what we hoped for shall come true if we asked it to The Lord. Well, that might be not the exact things that happened or thought by some people, but have you ever say "get well soon" to some people when they're actually having deadly disease that only miracle can cure them, or they're in the verge of life and death because of some things that happened in their lives? Well, if you ever asked whether or not saying "get well soon" to people with deadly disease is still appropriate, this is my answer.

First thing, we know that God knows what best for us, even if they're might be the worst in our eyes, and Jesus said,"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Matthew 7:7 NIV). From that verse, we might think that all the things we asked to God through Jesus, His Only Son, will be given to us. But are everything (like, literally everything that we desired) will be given to us? You see, what Jesus did in Gethsemane showed us that everything that we got, what happened to us, are according to God's Will. In the Gethsemane, Jesus pray to Father in Heaven,"My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." (Matthew 26:39 NIV). You see. Jesus can asked Father in Heaven to send a horde of angelic soldiers to protect Him from the Pharisees and the soldiers who will take Him away that night, but He didn't. He keeps on track with God's Plan to save human from eternal punishment because of our sins, and just like that, He sacrificed Himself on the cross.

God has 3 different answers for our prayers. "Yes" if it's according to His Will, "No" if it's against His Will, and "Wait" if it's actually His Will, but the time just not right yet. If you ever get what you wanted for so long, congrats because it's in His Will. If you never get what you wanted, you might want to evaluate those prayers. Maybe it's just your own ambition, or maybe the time isn't right. If you ever asked God to keep a certain people's life with you and they just passed away, I think their time to reunite with God in eternal happiness. Let them go.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
- Romans 8 : 28

Keep your hope in God. Let Him do His Will, and believe that all things He did for us is for the good for us.

Keep calm and have a tea. God Bless ^_^
